Cave diving in Norway is usually done in the cold waters of northern Norway. Plura is a massive cave with many amazing formations in the porous limestone. It’s the deepest sump cave in Europe, with a max depth of over 130 meters. The water temperature is around 4-5°C in the summer and goes down to 2°C during the winter. There is a nearby dive center (Visit Plura) with lodging accommodations, tank rental, and gas filling located only 300 meters away from the cave. It is quite convenient for those eager to explore the beauty of the Norwegian caves. This movie is a series of clips filmed during the annual event, Plurauka, hosted by the Norwegian cave diver federation (www.ngdf.no).
